So, we’ve helped you out to pick a few places to go to make the best out of a monsoon date -
Architecture which looks better with rain splashed on it, grasses which get greener and that giving a perfect ambience for the Lodhi Gardens to look prettier than it is. It is one of those places where you can do a heritage walk in the dry weather and make the best of both times. It stays open from 6 am to 7.30 pm.
Seated on a bench situated between the central location on Hauz Khas Village, Deer Park offers you a chance to cosy up and get to know your date better. When it rains, you’re seated and protected under your umbrella as well, and if luck favours you then you might be able to spot a deer as well!
Rocky hills, an adventure, the view of the sunset – the Parthasarathy Rock situated on the JNU campus is a breathtakingly beautiful spot for everyone. To be able to enjoy it in the monsoons with your partner is even more special. Don’t forget to take your camera while you’re here! Even the sunrise is equally mesmerizing.
While Kalindi Kunj Park is an amusement park which offers other rides as well, it is a ride on the Delhi Eye in the monsoon season that is going to be the romantic one and help you make memories.
The water park, family rides, 6D cinema and kid’s zone (did you think people with kids don’t want some romance to have included this point?) as well. It costs Rs 600 onwards to enter the park and is open from 11 am to 8 pm.
Visit the forts within, go for a few drinks, have a nice dinner, walk around the area or go to Green Park to the west and Gulmohar Park in the north around which it is surrounded. Hauz Khas village will give you variety and spoils you for choices to make your evening romantic.
It is a happening place undoubtedly. A place to savour your sweet tooth from Wenger’s or Naturals, visit Ram Chander & Sons which is India’s oldest toy shop, shop from either international brands or go to the Underground Market Palika Bazaar, eat, or just watch a show at Central Park!
