Most of the people make this assumption the smarter you are, the more likely to get success in your life. Especially in college or school when always get good grades than others. So the question that I was wondering about is Do smart people have higher chance to be successful. After some reachers I came with some researchers is a psychologist by profession Dr.Lavis Terman who done the most prolonged research in the history of psychology. He tried to answer this question. Historian around the USA searched for more than 2500 kids from all over the country who were smartest among their rivals suggested by different people in a different industry. His condition was to accept the kids in research who scores at least 140 in IQ test, which is the genius layout And he comes up with the shocking results.
Just to know that most people scores between 90 and 109 are considered smart and who scores more than 140 are regarded as a genius. Out of 2500 students suggested to him from all forks of the United States. Only 1487 scored more than 140 in IQ test who were liveliest kids in the United States, In fact, Einstein, for example, scored 160, The kids were as smart as Einstein, Dr.Terman spent their life following them and studying them. They realise that these were the kids who will lead the future of America, they were getting the best grades and winning all awards. Which drive to the conclusion that they are the one billionaires, actors, and politicians may be president of America and so on?
Unfortunately that wasn't the result and very far from the truth, as those kids grow up the very tiny number of them achieve something great in life, and none of them won at least won a nobel prize and the kids who got rejected at first seem to be doing great and very smart like the rest, and actually won the magnificent awards. In fact, in physics, so after so many years of research, Dr.Terman concludes with the study that intellect and achievement are far from quite correlated.
Doing smart is one thing, but doing something great in life is a whole different story just because someone is a little brighter than you doesn't mean he will achieve greater in life than you. We have developed this culture over time that intellect is a tool that helps us in being successful in your life and in fact, it is not. Never let anyone fool you and tells that, only smart people will become a successful or great leader. Your grades do not define your personality and don't let anyone judge you. You must be useful in the different areas of life so focus on those things.
