The issue of battling problems head-on has been a problem in any civilization/country/ethnicity. With avoidance oriented strategy and indulging in alcohol, well does not solve a problem. It makes one gloomier over the issue and they swirl around the issue more than required. The apparent convention around being gloomy is to go for more rinks to help with the sadness/stress. Well, we all know the reality.
It comes regardless of your age. Be it at a party during your college days or a wedding, drinking is somewhat more of an obligation and not a mere choice. The fun part: Most of the first time experiences are due to peers pressurizing one to try it out. The aftermath is pretty obvious and remarkable/disastrous depending on your doings.
This is mostly for the juveniles and adult juveniles. The law does not permit them to consume drinks but well when one abided by the laws. More often than not we find instances of these very people losing it on social media. Some of them are hilariously cringe-worthy but well everything comes at a cost.
One of the main reasons one ends up having hangovers which are unexplainable. This reasoning has no age, gender or cultural biases whatsoever. One does not realize what will happen to them when they chug down beers but the next day is the perfect testimony of one’s actions.
Break-up? Drink to suppress the pain. Had a fight with your best friend? Drink to feel light. The entire idea of drinking to suppress one's emotions is highly advertised by the media and it people copying it is a perfect win-win for the media as well as the companies producing alcohol. As said before it is a temporary way of dealing with it. As long as you want to hinge on to it, it will make you a host of negative feelings towards the other person. The better version of this instance would be relying on friends than alcohol, figuring the problem out, moving on and then remembering it in a good way as you have drinks. The bliss of getting drunk when happy and being surrounded by people you care about is eternal.
Drinking can be extremely fun and some beautiful and hilarious memories can be made out of it which can be recollected years down the lane sitting with the same people, drinking (probably more responsibly or still being the same) and laughing at each other. That is one version. The other version is what usually happens with most of us. So well it is for us to decide how many hilarious and how many cringe-worthy memories we want our brains to record or recollect from the numerous blackouts we have.
