Knowing trees, I understand the meaning of patience. Knowing grass, I can appreciate persistence.

One comes and the other leaves; the quarter-life crisis is an interplay of both of them. There are five phases to identify that you are undergoing the mid-life crisis:
Your life choices begin to concern you and you question what you are doing in your job, relationship and life in general.
You want to take matters into your own hands and get out of the trap that you feel you are in.
You take action to change whatever that has been bothering you and then take some time off to rediscover yourself.
You adapt to the change and begin to rebuild your life again.
You embrace the changes which are now according to what exactly you want to do in life.
The best way to deal with this emotional and life turnover is to use all this energy to work on your emotional intelligence. The cause of the crisis, in the first place, comes from dissatisfaction within, our own selves. To embrace the change or to continue with what is bothering us, we must be able to handle the situations of stress properly. This allows us to react without losing control over how we feel.
It is very important to be surrounded by those whom you could rely on in such situations. To share and get the advice of others to help you through this phase is necessary. You would realize that you are not alone in this feeling of disillusionment and that someone who can be completely honest with you will let you know if any of it is a lack of judgment from your part.
Apart from an emotional refuge, it is also essential to be able to work out a routine to engage in something apart from that which is bothering you. Pick out a hobby where you would invest your creative energy or even your energy at all. Make an effort to have a side work, something you can spend time on happily.
Don’t let yourself to be broken down by the aspects of change that has come over in your life. It is normal to not be happy with something that has been going on for too long and want to break out of it. It is normal to want to have a time out once in a while to allow yourself to breathe. It is perfectly fine to take time and figure out what exactly is that which you want in your life. Instead of growing old and looking back to a life of regret, remember that you are still young and can rectify that which displeases you when you have the time. Life is not always a beautiful ride, but you can do your best to make it your desired way.
