Knowing trees, I understand the meaning of patience. Knowing grass, I can appreciate persistence.

By using advertisements in a proper manner, the sellers can actually lead the world to be more aware and do things which they would have otherwise not thought about. This makes the advertising sector such an important part of our country – one wrong piece of information or negative branding and you’d be affecting the minds of millions.
More often than not, the advertising agencies do not pay heed to the impact it can have on people. The easiest example is through the high rate of objectification prevalent in them. Deodorants are sold to woo women and women undergo hair removal to enchant men – great, let’s even consider that normal because sex appeal is everything in life apparently (where is hygiene, my good sir?).
Why do they need to accompany scantily clad women to sell a product which has nothing to do with these women at all? Sure, we’ll remember the advertisement better, in the case of sensible people the remembrance would be for calling out on how derogatorily they’ve been using a woman to sell a product.
Letting go of the content of the advertisement, let’s move on to what is being advertised and how it affects us. Our doctors are yelling for us to reduce weight and stay healthy, we have been trying our best to make proper use of that gym membership or even to go for a walk regularly, our new diet just began and it’s terrible but we’re trying to stick to it – amidst all this, we turn on the television and see the advertising for buying a juicy burger with cheese dripping from its side and our mouths start watering, there is some offer going on to buy one and get one free on a Wednesday.
What day it is today, you wonder? Oh, it is Wednesday today! And then, you forget all about your promises to live in a healthy fashion and succumb to devour that junk food which is obviously going to bring the death of you one day.
Do you really want for me to go into the details to describe why eating so much junk food causes numerous health issues? If you are somehow a caveman who has no knowledge of this, people search it on the internet. You will find a little too many articles telling you why.
The sad part is that these fast food chains which advertise and make us drool have the money and the right to do so. It is up to us to control our urges and we cannot completely blame them. Junk food always looks more appealing than healthier food, we always appreciate that which should be forbidden anyway!
Advertising shapes our daily lives and thought process. The products we use and the reason why we use them (apart from when somebody personally refers it to us, which is another kind of advertising too if you think of it) are all because of what the advertisers want us to know about their products.
Nobody will explain to us the side effects or discrepancies in their things but we, as people who have brains, should be sensible enough to differentiate what is good for us and what isn’t.
