The Mahamangal Aarti at 11.30am is what triggers them to scream and abuse the Gods, something that is believed to be the doing of the evil spirits. The ‘possessed’ people are seen doing as abnormal things as climbing up on poles and suspending themselves.
Pay Rs 800 per month, get a room booked and remove the evil spirit possessing your loved ones – yes, that is the system here. Once you begin walking towards this place, you will be able to hear the people ‘possessed’ screaming at the top of their lungs, the violent ones are even chained to a wall. The Maulvis do not discriminate religiously, they remove the evil spirits from people of all religions.
‘Bhoot Mela’, or a Ghost Fair, takes place every full moon where people from near and far come to get their relatives cured of the possession of the spirit.
