There is another extreme of the spectrum where people think about the eternity of life. They feel that the good deeds come with you and bad deeds go with you. It is an endless journey where the approach should be to lift you higher in the spiritual planes.
Such people give utmost importance to the spiritual things, and materialistic things have no or very little meaning for them.
