Let us start with the ‘pull’: There is always that one thing that people seem to chase after. From the money to the relationships, the perfect body, the perfect life there is always that irritating never-ending ‘pull’.
From a higher spiritual perspective, the happiness is actually a result of being one with Spirit, the Source Energy, etc. So whenever we get the money we feel happy because at the moment of receiving we become one with Spirit.
So our each and every action is aimed at becoming one with spirit, but what if we could experience all the happiness, joy, love peace without needing to achieve all our goals.
What a hack! It seems to be a beautiful solution and this is what spirituality is aimed at.
The most cliché advice everyone seems to be giving but meditating every day does work wonders in your life. While meditating we concentrate our mind on one thing and one thing only (say breathing), because of this all our other thoughts on other subjects stop causing all worry, stress and pain to disappear.
Faith makes things happen. And there is no other thing which gives us stronger faith than praying. It’s okay if you don’t believe in god. Just pray to the universe, the Presence, etc; it doesn’t matter. What matters is surrendering because many times in life we are in the way. We ourselves are the problem. But surrendering through prayer clears the way and allows what you want to enter freely into your life
We are all so disconnected; trapped by concrete and electronic screens. Our brains were not built for this. Too much time in this alien environment can cause all types of mental pain to occur. We have to return to our roots once in a while to rejuvenate. A walk in the park every morning is enough to refresh your body, mind and release the feeling of well being into everyday life.
Believing that just by moving your body you solve all your problems seems unrealistic. But a healthy mind can only stay healthy in a healthy body. Any form of yoga is simply fine-tuning your body to receive higher thoughts, experiences and vibrations. If you don’t believe in yoga, just exercise every day.
Positivity is a crucial part to survive life. But we live in a culture which breeds negativity; a society which believes in pain and suffering. What positive thinking does it builds momentum, and once you have the habit of a positive outlook, life’s challenges seem to be easy and every problem will seem to have a solution.
Compassion is our default setting. We were not made to hate each other. Though selfishness is necessary, at the basis of human society is love and caring. Charity unlocks the resistant thoughts in your mind; dissolves up the selfish part of you causing a greater emotion of love in the brain for longer periods of time. Just a few days practising appreciating people around will make you notice people’s behaviour changes towards you
Almost all of the spirituality boils down to feelings; whether is feeling love, joy, peace, etc. But to open the gates to these emotions, we have to give gratitude. Gratitude is key to the door to the elevated life. Program your mind to thank and appreciate. Practice gratitude as the first thought in your morning and watch everything work out automatically.
