Brazil FIFA World Cup 2018 - Russia Squad and Team Outlook

The Seleção were the first team to qualify for World Cup in March 2017. Tite, the coach has made some minor personnel changes and a major shift in tactics, making their play more compact. 

A strong midfield, high defensive line and a unit of forwards that can make any defence dance, Brazil have made a flamboyant switch from 6th in the qualifiers to become the first nation to join the hosts, Russia.

 

Brazil has scored 30 goals, won 10 games, drawing two matches and conceding just 3 goals they are rightly the favourites to lift the cup for the 6th time. The team sheet of Brazil never looked as impressive since the days of 3R's back in 2002. However, Brazil has not won a World Cup in Europe since 1958.

Brazil starts their campaign against Switzerland on 17th June at the newly built 45,000 capacity Rostov Arena. On 22nd June they take on Costa Rica at FC Zenit Saint Petersburg's home with a capacity of 56,196, the Krestovsky Stadium. They round it off at the Otkritie Arena against Serbia on the penultimate day of group stage matches.

Brazil has a swagger around them but complacency and injuries can still hurt them as it did in the last World Cup Edition.
