Japan FIFA World Cup 2018 - Russia Squad

Japan is not in the form they would have wanted to be in. Losing their last 4 games, Japan is in a group without any "heavyweight" team.

 

Japan had a straightforward qualifying campaign but they did sack their coach, Vahid Halilhodzic and now, Akira Nishino managing the national squad.

19th June Colombia vs Japan Mordovia Arena

24th June Japan vs Senegal Yekaterinburg

28th June Japan vs Poland Volgograd Arena

 

Japan starts their campaign against the Colombians on 19th June at the Mordovia Arena. On 24th June they take on Senegal at Yekaterinburg. Volgograd Arena will host their final encounter against Poland on 28th of June. 

 

Japan have never qualified for the quarter-finals, eliminated twice in the last 16 and thrice in the group stage.
