zThe Andaman Islands is known for its beautiful beaches and the clean blue sea, so without troubling the readers, I start coming to the main point.
The following information is much filtered by my experience when I travelled the Andamans. I took my phone out when I saw something beautiful, clicked pictures and then after a week, I thought to make a blog about it which won't trouble the readers with so much of unwanted information and won't mislead.
I have mentioned the places which I have personally liked and felt worth writing about it. The photos which I have clicked are only of those places which I truly liked. And for the memories of photos, I am writing this blog.
Port Blair is the capital of the Andaman Islands. Air-planes land here, so you don't have an escape, you have to stay here at least for a night. Besides the Cellular Jail and the zoo, there is nothing to see from the viewpoints of a tourist, so I do not recommend spending much time here. Andaman’s are famous for its other islands.
It is one of the perfect places, to show you how our Freedom Fighters were imprisoned during the British Rule. How much torture they had to go through, all this can be felt here through the light and sound show which happens on each evening. Take a half days’ time for exploring this place.
You can collect information; get to know some unknown facts, take good pictures and many more. You have access to go inside the prisons as well. Carry an umbrella with you as the weather is much unpredictable here. Memories to preserve for. A must visit in Port Blair.
It is one of the popular tourist spots in Port Blair. You may reach here by boat, as a part of the Day tour in Port Blair. Famous for the old jail constructed before the cellular jail. Here, on top of a hillock, there is a building where the execution of the inmates was carried out who was sentenced to death.
Coral Islands for Coral view activities and scuba diving place. Many water sports activities take place here. Andaman is popular among the visitors for underwater coral view. The boats are made of Russian glass giving you an awesome experience. Pure blue seawater and unspoiled seashores are beautiful to watch. Can be reached from Phoenix Bay jetty
I will advise is to take a luxury or Seaview resort on this island because the view you will experience is awesome. The island is one of the largest in the Andamans and is known for its exquisite beaches and white sands. The shoreline is strikingly different from other beaches found in India and is one of the few must-visit exotic locations in the country.
Laxmanpur Beach is the best spot to watch the sunset on Neil Island. The evening was a gorgeous sight. I can never forget those moments I had while watching it. I can still relive them when I close my eyes. Sunrise and sunset happen quite sooner at the islands. It's best to be at the beach an hour before sunset. The lush green trees on the side of the beach offer travelers the opportunity to unwind and relish the serenity and nature's charm. Most of the trees that you would see on the shore of the Andaman Islands are a result of the 2004 catastrophic tsunami that stripped much flora.
There are so many beautiful spots on the beach to capture some interesting photos. The beach was maintained well. I hope tourists help preserve the beach along with the locals. Parking is free at the beach. Be sure to drive a vehicle with working headlights as there are no street lights from the beach to the Village Road for a kilometer or two. I had an excellent time watching the sunset here. I would definitely visit this beach again in the future.
As the name suggests, it is a naturally formed bridge made up of enormous rock surrounded by the big vast seashore. This area is filled with coral stones and beautiful seawater. Sunset looks very pleasing to the eye here, and this place is full of photoholics. Lovely place indeed to visit when you're in Neil Island!
I think there is no unique cuisine, but we can get a different variety of food there, and it is tasty too. I liked "Pani puri" there, and I didn't get this taste when I ate in Mumbai, Delhi, and in some cities in south India. And you can get different types of seafood also. Andaman actually called as "mini India" because we can see there different religions of people and even food.
